Welcome to the BAA
The British Ambulance Association is the largest representative body for the Private Ambulance sector.
Covering the entire United Kingdom and beyond, our members can offer you their expertise and services for almost any situation that requires medical and transportation needs - by land or air.
Servicing both NHS and Private Hospitals, Clinics, Local Health Authorities, Businesses, and Private Individuals, our members can also provide fully qualified doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other grades of Ambulance crews.
Ambulance / Medical cover for Motor Sports, Equestrian Events or any other occasion where they are needed.
The Association is also able to offer Ambulance training to anyone interested in gaining qualifications in the Ambulance field, including Emergency Driver Training. Enquirers can contact any Services direct by clicking on that Service and obtaining the contact details. If you need advice or assistance you may contact the Association direct.
ALL AMBULANCE SERVICES OPERATING IN ENGLAND HAVE TO BE GOVERNMENT REGISTERED FROM 1ST April 2011.
The Act of Parliament is The Health & Social Care Act 2008 which will be administered by the Care Quality Commission.
All Services listed on our web site also meet the requirements for membership of this Association.
We have not received any information from the Care Quality Commission as to which of the members of this Association have been 'officially' Government Registered, or in fact refused Registration. Hopefully there will be none that are not Registered. But care should taken to ensure that the Ambulance Services you use are operating legally. As and when the information is received Registered Services will be identified on the web site with a government Registration Number.
